It's a moot point, strongly depending on one's method and goals.
I happen to be predominantly a trader, primarily aiming at preserving my capital, which includes current profits. The old saying "It's not a real loss if it hasn't been sold" is balderdash.
Anyhow, today's breakout vindicates my buy decisions, and when I know today's Close and VWAP, I'll move my profit stop a notch higher.
