Here is what that job is:

* Get the assays back from the grade control samples
* Plug them into the database
* Software package delineates the zones on the bench into high grade, low grade, sub grade and waste
* Geo emails the file to the mine surveyors to mark it out

Once the mine crew and supervisors have sent it to the right stockpiles, the mine geo is responsible for reconciling the mined grades and tonnage to the ore blocks they sent to the surveyors.

In this particular case, the geo is responsible for setting that workflow up. Part of which includes ensuring the store is stocked with necessary consumables like samplebags, and for setting up the software to do what it needs to do.
