Today is loading day for shipment number 4.
Production announcement was on 14th March.
So thats 4 shipments in 4.5 months, not too bad.
Shipment 1 : Astra N with 3250
Shipment 2 : Gloria Galaxy with 5510
Shipment 3 : MV Coreship with 9800
Shipment 4: Pan Jasmine with 10,000
Or ~28,500t of spodumene in 4.5 months.
TAW namplate is said to be 155 ktpa.
Thats 12.9kt per month.
Hypothetically speaking in 4.5 months we should ship 12.9 kt x 4.5 = ~58t of spod.
So they produced basically half nameplate output during 4.5 months ramp up.
PLS nameplate is 320ktpa.
Thats 26.6kt per month.
4.5 months would be 120kt of spodumene.
PLS would need to produce 60kt of spod during 4.5 months of ramp up.
They announced first production on 21/6/18 so by the middle of November they would need to have 60 kt shipped.
AJM nameplate is 220ktpa.
Thats 18.3kt per month.
4.5 months would be 82.5 kt of spodumene.
AJM would need to produce 41.25 kt of spod during 4.5 months of ramp up.
They announced first production on 25/7/18 so by middle of December they would need to have 41.25 kt shipped.
Be interesting to see how it all pans out going forward.
Im happy to date with Tawana operations team.
