Thank you very much. Now I am a little concerned. I became a resident on Oct 30/31st .....and will pass the 183 day rule.....my concern is for worldwide income in this FY....therefore...from July 1st to Oct 30th....do I have to declare and pay tax on it? Or...does it begin from Oct 31st? I know the stocks I held prior to that date start again as if I bought them on Friday the 30th October! Thanks again.

forgot to meantion generally speaking you are only taxed on worldwide income since becoming a tax resident of Australia onwards (rather than the entire financial year).
