Dual Cab Utes are being used by big companies and small business as a preferred vehicle to a car solely for the tax benefits as a commercial vehicle: -unlike a company car which is used pribately on weekends, the dual cab ute does not attract FBT -One has just got to look at the dual cab ute to see its primary design purpose is passenger. -some of the luxury ones, unlike luxury cars, do not attract the luxury car tax. -accelerated depreciation -GST tax credits
IMO only genuine commercial vehicles like single cab utes should qualify for these business tax benefits.
