Apologies, could someone help...greatly appreciated. Sorry my English is not too good when explaining.

I'm still working a day job and buying/selling shares on days off...

On my account I bought and sold maybe 10 different shares during 15/16, approx 40 transactions/$600k buys, ending in a loss.
Then 16/17 I bought and sold maybe 25 different shares, approx 200 transactions/$4m buys, ending in a loss.
Lodged a large capital loss for years above.

Now, 17/18 so far in, bought and sold maybe 10 different shares, approx 20 transactions but I'm looking at a large capital gain to clear all previous losses plus.

    My questions are...

If I continue to buy/sell at this volume, can I continue to stay as an investor or must I switch to a Trader ?
And if I must switch, is it beneficial for me or am I worse off ?

I didn't think too much about it, as I was down so much previous years, all I was focused on was to trade my way back above water.. So now that I've done that, I can use all my previous losses to offset my gains, etc..

    Thanks in advance.
