    Hi all,

    A really stupid question.

    Should I sell all the stocks that have made a loss this year. I have held most of them for 6 -18 months.

    I don't believe I am considered by the tax dept as a day trader. I am in the investor category. There is a difference in the way share profit and loss is handled I believe.

    Can anyone elaborate?
