As a midterm stockholder of Uscom, I've watched the various press releases touting lots of glory but sadly the reality isn't close.
Sales are way down. I can't see any sales team in Australia or even South East Asia despite a sales manager being appointed last year. I hold a number of medical device company shares varying from startups to those with 30+ year histories and what's consistent about the good performers is a well thought out sales plan.
What I am seeing here is a total focus on R & D and none on sales.
I can't explain the reasoning behind this because even a moderate sales focus would lead to a better cash flow.
Given the cash held currently and the burn rate, unless there is some significant changes to the way the company sells its products, I can't see them lasting more than 18 months at best.
The share price has me underwater by .14c and I have pretty much written it off.
I like the tech involved but the Uscom team don't seem to understand the benefits of actually selling products.
They have clearly burnt some capital and made some interesting choices but I wonder if this is a ploy to take the company off the ASX at a cheap price given the "small stake" press release.
