So, you don't believe that there is any risk premium (and consequent higher profit) in minerals exploration and mining? Obviously the Gov't dosen't.
What I don't yet understand is the underlying assumptions that will surround the calculation of a 'super profit' of over 6%.
Is it based on the written down value of the assets applied to earn the profit? Is it the replacement cost of those assets?
Surely it can't simply be the amount of net profit over 6% that the miner earns? That would be an idiotic basis. You can't generate the revenue without the infrastructure investment and you can't earn any profit at all without revenue.
