I am imagining a scenario where I am 65, don't work, have a wife who also doesn't work.
So I think you are saying I could get the 58 k tax free. That's kind of what I thought but some other info on this thread is interesting too.
That's more than I need to live but means really I need a million bucks external to my house to not slide backwards - ie preserve the wealth and the totally self funded.
