The commencing of the pension would not pose a problem in my interpretation it was more the ceasing the pension the day after. That is what would cause a please explain from the ATO.
Still anything with a really good reason could be accepted, but I would make sure I had a good one before attempting that sort of scheme.
I suppose that is why the ATO do not give guidance. Everything is judged on its own merit.
