A few months ago I engaged in some rather robust debate on this very forum re the tax liability that would arise from the sale of 60% of the company. At that time numerous posters took exception to my view that tax of anything up to $180M would need to be paid.
Well look what just crossed my screen! AEDs annual accounts.
Todays accounts clearly show tax has been paid on the Chinese deal exactly as I suggested all those months ago.
Fancy that!
I few weeks ago I refined my forecast and suggested a tax bill of $70M. I was wrong but I was still a hell of a lot closer than the posters who ridiculously suggested zero!!!
