There are several small business CGT concessions which can, in the appropriate circumstances, result in a capital gain being tax exempt.
I utilised the rollover exemption about 8 or 9 years ago. Now that we are planning to sell out present office in 2 or 3 years time, I discovered recently that the small business CGT concessions changed significantly in 2006. Now there are four types of small business CGT concessions.
I find it interesting that the tax rules are always evolving. At least the constant changes keep many people employed.
