Thanks for the great advice especially the installment warrant stuff.
My problem is that I hold a lot of growth stocks that have no instalment warrents. I think I would only be successful with my BHP.
My other problem is that all the gains are made on borrowed money 100%. So if I am holding 1000 BHP in margin I don't think they will give me the balance in cash. But I will find out tomorrow.
Some other options could be to pay the debts off and have free cash. But that doesn't stop the tax.
Fist your advice does not suit me - Kids are just a liability and my motto is to build wealth not destroy it (lol). But kids I am sure may bring a lot of joy to some where it can't be measured in money.
