Thats right Specialist, I use a programme called "Top Share Portfolio Manager" for preparing my yearly summary for my accountant. In situations where I have "part sold' from a particular holding it allows for choices (if you had bought that particular stock in different priced parcels) so that you can minimise OR maximise your capital gains or losses.
I print off my report & submit to my accountant with my other income details.
Makes it all very quick & easy!
