I had to change the address at the bank back to the Oz ad for the RTA to renew my license a few years ago, so i used my parents ad which i use as a postal address for many things anyways. I never got around to changing it back to the foreign one, hence they still have my oz address.

At the time there was no cash in the account and i didn't care. I sold some shares since and interest was accrued... So I am up for 39% which is not the issue here cause i declared that. Planned to close the account all together after my trip home at xmas.

Something else has held it up. To be honest, even when the bank had a foreign address, they never took withholding tax, which is why i never changed it back.
