Why can companies like Starbucks, IKEA, Apple, Google, Facebook ... get away with not paying taxes here or around the world?

Are Australian politicians incompetent or Australians are so rich that they need to subsidise international companies???
Australian upcuming high tech companies have to pay 30% taxes as soon as they make $1 profit.
How can we compete? HOW???? Come on investors... can you please send an email to Turnbull and the government?
I love Australia, but how can the country and companies here progress internationally when Australian companies can't compete internationally?
