Tax Time - TCH equity in AFY

    Hello everyone

I have a question about the equity that TCH currently has in AFY.
Assuming that the acquisition goes through; what will happen for the equity that TCH had in AFY?

Also, what would be the accounting entry for that equity? I see it as AFY "buying back" an initial investment made by TCH. Is there any possible tax deduction for AfterPay Touch Group?

I came to that conclusion because the merger will conclude before the 30th June and I am wondering how the tax return will look like.
