Please read this.... My Cousin, She is a hairdresser. She works 3 days a week on casual because that all the hours she can get. Now she works for a Boss for $5 per haircut that she does and provides an ABN number. Some days whe waits 2 hours for someone to walk in the door for a haircut.
Today in the Mail she gets a letter from the ATO stating. You havnt done your tax returns in previous years. You can be Fined between $9,000 and $45,000 if you dont sort out your tax affairs in 14 days.
Now please. She is a single Mum. She is a part time hairdresser. She is Not an accountant or a lawyer. She gets paid $5 per haircut and some days waits there all day just to get a few haircuts if its a cold day or rainy and noone is out and about.
Today she had to exuse herself in the Middle of a haircut to go and Vomit because she is so worried sick about being Fined $45,ooo dollars from the letter she got today from the ATO.
When some days she goes home with $25 dollars for her time at work.
