yes i agree. There are so many ways to lower your tax burden. Self managed super. Trusts. Income splitting. To name a few. Believe it or not there are some that play the game fairly and they are then punished with tax rates of 47% plus medicare levy. Some people dont even put their super into retirement mode when they retire. There are all all sorts of reasons for the above. My reason is i like to play fair and pay my share.

Simplest and fairest is to do away with all taxes and levies and have a higher GST phased in over a period of time to allow the system to rebalance and increase newstart etc to take this into account.
