You claim we were better off a hundred years ago. Haaahahahahaha! Thats close to WW1 and I can assure you we are a better prosperous nation now in every sense of the word. The average lifespan was a lot lower than now and life was really tough. Women were treated like possessions and did not have the greater equality they now enjoy.
