taxing question about 2 shares

hi all,

wondering if you could help me.
Ages ago i bought ION shares and also QTL shares (now called WYT).
Both went into receivership and obviously have not traded anymore.
I don't think they will be traded anymore - will they?

I am wanting to know if I can now claim what i paid for these shares as a loss?

If anyone could help that would be much appreciated.
