taxing question

I just got a quick query regarding tax.....time running out :)

I just want to know if there is a 45 day rule with buying shares in that if you hold shares for a shorter period than 45 days you are able to claim and gains as income .....? Over 45 days it is a termed an investment and therefore is a CGT event ???

    Is that correct...?

    regards
