Tibbs this is a different Uranerz. See below. They are not the one owned by Cameco. I

n addition, BLR states that Taylor Ranch is in Colorado (not Wyoming), so maybe the Taylor Ranch you referred to as being owned by Cotter is a different one (maybe near BLR's Taylor Ranch). Not sure about this, but sometimes Companies seem to name their projects with names similar to or the same as those that are more well known.

Eg. GSE refers to their "Mary Kathleen" project in their recent announcements which is generating excitement. However, this is not the famous Mary Kathleen mine, but a project near it.

    From Uranerz's website:

    Our Corporate Name
"Uranerz" means uranium ore (in German).

    History
Uranerz Energy Corporation has an experienced team of mining personnel, many of whom are former officers, senior management and employees of the original Uranerz Exploration and Mining Limited and related companies (the "Uranerz Group"). The Company also has an advisory board that consists entirely of ex- Uranerz Group professionals. The Uranerz Group was the third largest uranium producer when it was acquired in 1998 by Cameco, the world's largest primary uranium producer.

Uranerz Energy Corporation has expertise in the in-situ recovery mining method. Our management team has direct experience in licensing, designing, constructing or operating seven separate in-situ recovery uranium mines located in Wyoming, Texas, Nebraska, and Kazakhstan.

Uranerz Energy Corporation is growing and expanding rapidly. It has only been since July of 2005 that management was able to get its corporate name changed to "Uranerz", a corporate identity most of them had worked with before. This management team has the experience, the contacts, the ability, the competency and the desire to build Uranerz into a significant producer of uranium.

    Logo
The Uranerz Energy logo represents three symbolic ideas. The first idea is the atomic symbol. The second idea is the letter "U" represented by one of the swooshes. The third idea is that all three swooshes are shaped to look like a typical uranium-mineralized "roll front". It is the sandstone roll fronts that can host the uranium deposit.

    Pronunciation
One way to pronounce "Uranerz" is to imagine that you are talking to a judge. You may refer to the judge as "your honor". For our name, just add the letters "ts" or "z" to the end of "your honor" and you should then be saying "Uranerz".
