The efforts that are going into addressing this problem in the USA are monumental. Diabetes is a key issue & a major cause of ESRD in the USA.

As you can see, CKD/DKD is now coming into focus for global health policy as it’s such a massive issue & drain on Govt Health funding & will only rise if nothing is done now.

You can’t blame it all on McDonalds & others, but fast food & Western diets I think have played some part in this surge in Diabetes & related DKD/CKD in some ethnicities.
