As an economics teacher at senior level, my lessons couldn't be regurgitated year after year. Up-to-date knowledge of the Australian economy was always required and the variables are forever changing. Besides, students ask questions based on what appears in the media about current economic issues. Teachers encourage such knowledge seeking.
This covid-19 time would mean a deluge of questions and I pity business studies and economic teachers who would be trying to cope with them.
If teaching today, I would continue to correct spelling and grammar errors in children's work in the interests of both clarity of expression and because it would be unconscionable for me not to do so.
