Wouldn't it make sense to forget about a pipeline from WA to Eastern States & leave WA to focus on export, being closer to major O'Seas markets & get the Eastern seaboard integrated with pipelines, starting from Qld, then perhaps NT if & when required!???

A 500km pipeline has to eclipse the numbers & benefits when compared to 2,000Kms from the West - I also like the idea of Gas fired power stations feeding into the grid - I'd expect the cost of building powerlines & feeder lines to consumers may be more economical than gas pipelines - correct me if I'm mistaken!
