Tech shares

I believe that too many forums are devoted to tech shares. Many posters discuss nothing else and I think that this is dangerous to new investors, myself included.
The way some posters carry on it would seem that the tech crash never happened. Pots of gold are at the end of every rainbow.
Shares that used to be valued in dollars are now valued in cents but we still believe that companies that are struggling to survive should have a better price than highly profitable dividend paying companies.
I have lost so much and now I see the light.
I now leave these shares to the experts who know when to buy and when too sell.
