"The primary purpose of this role is to support the deployment and ongoing operation of CFCL’s fuel cell systems in the UK market. The incumbent will be expected to perform a variety of technical activities that will facilitate and streamline the BlueGEN system deployment process as well as providing support to the UK sales team by advising customers on technical issues and assisting with the sales process. After training the incumbent will be required to carry out installation training and commissioning of new systems as well as performing fault resolution, both remotely and in the field. An important part of the role is to establish and build on the excellent technical relationships that CFCL has with their installer partners.

This role will be based in the UK from the head office near Reading and will include travel throughout the UK.

Qualifications:
You will be an enthusiastic and enterprising engineer seeking a career within a leading high technology company in the micro-CHP sector. As a guideline your CV and experience should ideally demonstrate the following:
•Preference for tertiary degree qualifications, with favour to specialists in mechanical engineering, heat pumps, renewable energy or low carbon energy generation.
•2-3 years previous technical experience, preferably in the energy market (micro-CHP technology sector experience and contacts highly regarded);
•Knowledge of water based heating systems and their efficient integration;
•Experience with renewable energy and/or heating technology is preferential;
•Strong presentation, communication and organizational skills;
•Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical and control systems and designs.
•Highly self-motivated with a proven track record in working autonomously.

Key responsibilities of the role will include the following:
•Establish and foster excellent technical relationships with partner Service and Support Companies (SSC’s)
•Work with SSC’s to facilitate deployment during the ramp up phase
•Provide product specific installation and maintenance training to SSC staff
•Liaise with customers to maintain good relationships

Oversee the ongoing deployment of the BlueGEN fleet in the UK:
•Co-ordinate with sales, installers and logistics to ensure on schedule delivery and commissioning of product
•Apply skills in use of CFCL propriety control software & hardware
•Manage technical updates and maintain the product database

Technical Support for CFCL products:
•Provide timely remote and in the field technical support for installed products
•Ensure scheduled maintenance tasks are executed to plan
•Develop high level diagnostic support capability
•Be an active member of the on-call-roster

Site surveys to support the sales process:
•Attend site to carry out initial survey for product suitability
•Prepare site survey report for each site visited
•Liaise with the sales team to coordinate visits and report promptly on results
