This is all about building a power station. All power stations are expensive to build. The difference in this case is that once the capital has been spent the energy to run the station is free! Unfortunately the whole business is tied up with the carbon tax, the antipathy towards it and the denial of climate change by a substantial portion of the population despite melting ice caps, floods here there and everywhere and rising sea levels. If we ignore the whole climate change business we have a company which is not an electricity supplier and thus has no cash flow building a cost efficient power station. The only support it seems to get apart from its JV partners is from green investors. It seems to me that this is an opportunity to get involved with a cost efficient power generator that does not need increasingly scarce and expensive fossil fuel (in the long term) but this does not seem to register in the current market turmoil. PTR like many other "good" companies at present just doesn't seem to be able to win in a world where people are more worried about whether they will have any money left from the current financial debacle than long term investment.
