The options are listed options, they entitle owners of the options to purchase listed equity in the company, at a rate listed on the option itself.
For example... 8 cent options when the market is at 10 cents, is "in the money" as you are entitled to buy stock at 8 cents when the market is at 10.
The value to QMN as a company comes from the fact that they issued the options for cheap (i.e. very little!) and who ever owns the options must pay QMN the 8 cents for each option.
If there are 10,000,000 options out there... then 0.08x 10,000,000 = A$800,000 in cash to QMN bank account.
