I'm not taking a swipe at you, just stating a few facts.
I was also a share trader, as I stated, and when I was, never made any money share trading its almost impossible, I don't know of anyone who has made money share trading, its pure gambling or punting. Yes I was a degenerate gambler once, I remember one day made $120,000 in day trading blue-chips on speculation of RIO being takeover, without outlaying any money, the broker gave me a line of credit but had to sell before the settlement day, lost all my profits by the end of that finacial year.
Trading a stock to drill and hit gold or oil, is punting/gambling is it not? If your lucky you make it on one but loose on your next 5. Probably as much chance as winning at the races.
Lets look at TCB007s trading, yes he probably made some money on SUM and LVR but looks like he took a big hit on NVQ, it appears like it took out all his profits, he hardly posts any more which is strange for a prolific poster. Just ask Bulls007. TCB was better off just keeping his OZM and not selling, hold it for a year or two and the profits he could potentially make, will dwarf any share trading.
With regards to your share trading you are the only one who knows the truth, yes you made a very good profit on OZM and good on you, I suspect you did your research and bought it on the grounds of its very prospective tenements and held it for a few years, played the long game and did well.
But since selling you have diversified into various other stocks, have you made any substantial money on short term trades, I very much doubt it. The one which made you good money on, was a long term hold which you did you research on.
IMO the best way to make money on this end of the market, is do your own research on a company which has good fundamentals, good prospects for growth and buy on its lows, be patient and play the long time game. There is still risk involved but a lot less risk then share trading.
You only need 3 Unicorns which are 5 baggers to make a substatial profit.
IMO is a Unicorn with potential for a minimum 10x.
