Not sure if any of you know of this book.
This is the story of the grandfather of Andrew Pumphries.
I am told that Andrew spent time with him in his younger years.
Read this and then tell me what you think about how AP is conducting himself as a descendant of this man.
On a different note, I read the story of Sid Kidman and at that time was more than surprised to know some of the facts of the harshness of those days.
He spent only a handful of nights under a roof over 37 years or so with cattle drives that took 18 months from the Kimberley to Sydney.
Sam Hazlett's stories and the life he led makes us look like kindergarten kids.
Sam is form the same era.
You will get the picture of how AP is not interested in the opinions of nay sayers when he has the info he needs to push on and is convinced of what he has. He has spent a life and is the third generation of gold explorers.
He also gets the job done on the sniff of an oily rag, much to our benefit.
I will be hanging around for a while and am convinced that he will find the goods.
I highly recommend reading this book if you can source it.

Thanks for sharing this, it looks like a brilliant read. I'll try and find a copy today. I've no doubt about the calibre of the man AP is and it's fascinating to learn about his Grandfather. I was already here taking a long term view and you've just given me another reason to stay put. He's got way more skin in the game than the average exploration CEO and I don't think it'll be too long before the punters wake from their slumber.
