The irony is that he suffers more than anyone else because he's the largest shareholder. He needs the right people around him. The old board wasn't delivering the goods so it had to change. You cant have the same people doing the same things and expect a different result. So bringing in a new non-exec director and a new chairman had to be done. Its been about half a year and I've yet to see the value-add the new non-exec director has brought (I dont think the new non-exec director is the right fit although i would be happpy to be proven wrong). The new Chairman has only been in about a month, so its unfair to expect miracles from him overnight. I think the new Chairman is a good addition and I'm more confident and comfortable that we'll see his value-add in the next few months. I also dont think they shouldve hung onto the old Chairman by shifting him into a non-exec director role. Time to let go and totally refresh by bringing in an exec director/CEO in his spot. Someone who is a young gun and bites heads off snakes on the corporate side of things (no soft c#ck allowed). This would complement the big man and free him up (both physically and mentally I reckon) to do what he does best and which is what gives OZM its competitive advantage over other juniors. I think its totally unfair to expect the big man to be the master of everything and to do everything himself. He's only one person running the whole company day to day, so he needs help!
