MJS- will be owing my margin lender money if I dont act. I have been holding & buying more on the false belief for a while that AFG had bottomed around 6.50. Sold half my porfolio yesterday. I expect it to go sub $5 bucks today & if this happens Ive got to get out. Ive already put myself back years - to keep hoping would be financial suicide.
My mistake was blind faith in the afg growth story & its ability to resist the credit crunch headwinds. It hasnt & apart from Centro would have to be the worst performed ASX 200 company by a long stretch. If I had selected a BNB or MQG - maybe i would have survived.
Bad choice, lack of diversification & failure to act decisively & too much risk are my failings.
