& what drives people .... their emotions ... whether fear, greed, research (supposed intellectual justification for fear or greed)

Think of charting as a pulse monitor of the market & don't get caught up in the intellectual carp because the stock market stopped being about real valuations years ago & is now no more than a TAB.

Techical analysis is simply the use of mathematical tools do describe movements & because there are a hell of a lot of players (& all the huge ones are included in that group) using technical analysis in their decision making, they tend to be self fulfilling.

Their intellectual veracity is immaterial .... just use them as another input into the decision making mix.
