Not sure there is HFT in true manipulative action M - Algos and alert bots for sure. Most retailers can get what they want - just within the Algo operating margins . I could be wrong, I'd like to hear if anyone has had their bid/offer gazumped instantaneously by an odd amount? If Algos are icberging for INVESTORS I have no issue with them being here. The SP will rise/fall on FA eventually. Shorters I do as they bring artificial angst and SP volatility, when there is no FA to stimulate SP momentum.....
DS we can mention Weeklys til the cows come home, there is a far more vocal crew with dailies in mind. Heck when I was trading 20 minutes was a long time - 20 seconds was good for a couple of pips when the going was good ........ Trading is just churn or noise adding to the VWAP. [oh and a bit of Anteo registry cost for swing trades]
