Dan, if a short term trader is doing what they are supposed to, they would never lose 30%, placing stops under support within 2 or 3%. Upisde is unlimited, downside is limited to 3%.
Not sure I underatand your point, if I was out of Lynas and you got a great announcement and I missed it, I wouldn't lose anything, I'd focus on one of the other 30 stocks I have on my watchlist and make some money from them.
Mind you I have been guilty in the past couple of weeks, getting stung on ACR and BLY which I mistakenly trusted fundamentally. That'll teach me.
