Do not forget there are many alternatives to PMs right now PMs have the advantage they are about 5% lighter. 97 % Vs 94 % Efficient, and about 6 % more expensive. Probably 10% when you consider Liquid cooling VS air cooling, PMs cannot take heat. MB and BMW both have non PM motors in a single low volume car. How much higher can Nd go up before people switch?
Right now do not worry NdPr oxide has dropped 25% since February.
