Weehawken Yes it could and does. But so does the cost of housing, Petrol, Orange juice, and milk. JMO but the REE cost is so small you could never figure out what it was. Not worth hit to bring it up or discussing. You are so REE focused you have blown it way out of proportion to other things.
Goldnumber REMX NV which is the value of the assets REMX holds was down US $0.82 .That tells us that this rise was purely on emotion. looking at volume (this stock seldom trades more than a a few 100 shares in any 2 or 3 minute period) It traded 8,5K just 5 minutes before market closed. It will probably correct in the next few days. small chance it may even take a week or two, but it will correct. I will reply again when it does.
Note NV usually called just X is listed by most stock web pages and is available for all ETFs. It is not traded. It is a number released daily by the ETF once a day. If stocks pay a dividend you have to read prospective to see if dividends are distributed or if they just buy more stock in the company paying the dividend. Lynas is currently number 6 in REMX and makes up 5.11% of holdings. It has been as high as number 2. MP has not been in top 10 until recently. It is currently at # 8 and makes up 4.585 if it its holdings, REMX does not trade very much, it is stock holdings price change that effects position.
