LYC 6.05 today 6.80 +12.4% ASX 200 7235 to 7,504 +3.8% S&P 500 4707 - 4698 -0.2% So Lynas rise and most of the REE stocks is far more than general market. In the US there is also the January effect. In the US if you take a loss in the end of year you cannot have an offsetting transaction for 30 days. %0 years ag this caused a drop in stocks between X mass and new years as people sold their losers for tax reasons. Then a rise at end of January when they rebought the stocks they still wanted to hold. AS info became better people became more aware of this and the simple solution was beat the crowd. Slowly the down side moved all the way to Early November Now it is so spread out that timing has become far less important.
Lynas gain is far too large to be explained by this.
