they will buyers and sellers all day on large volume using an algorithm to trade around the closing volume weighted average price .trying to eek out a trading margin
the other group will be the stock lenders and hedge funds that have run the price up leading into the quarterly they have now walked the price down to current levels Some by shorting and potentially covering some today
itsa complicated game but the piss poor disclosure rules allows this to happen regularly
