Well that would be the definition of the strategy behind shorting! My point is that if you think they are selling in order to drive the price lower so they can buy the same shares back cheaper, then, all else being equal, that is a zero sum game. But if you think they are selling because they believe the price is going lower due to other reasons e.g. fundamentals, market sentiment or even just triggered panic selling, then that is something I can agree on.
