No, I mean trying to swindle others into buying the stock you hold for your own benifit. If you are discrediting legitimate negative posts about the stock for your own gain, then that certainly is illegal.

The way you wrote it sounds like you are discrediting any negative opinons for the sake of advancing your own position.
