To buy or not to buy at a given price at a given point in time is basically a 50/50 decision. You might as well flip a coin and base your decision on that.

Technical analysis, like the flip of a coin, will deliver a good outcome 50% of the time in the long-run.

Technical analysis is not a science. It is considered more of an "art".

Gee, do we really need technical analysis to tell us that a share price will probably come down after such a rapid rise?

Some perspective is needed here - sure, the share price has retraced the last few days - I see the potential gain in the share price in the short-term to completely dwarf the small losses that have been sustained lately. Hence, I will be holding. I believe in the ANP brains trust and suspect we are on the cusp of some pretty special news.
