Just another example of potential applications of metal 3D printing; this is nothing that A3D's printer could not do.
While I am mentioning ITRI, it's important to note they released an "inexpensive" metal 3D printer in 2015, priced at $325k USD with a print volume of 100 x 100 x 100mm (D) that prints "50% faster" (1.5x) than alternatives. "Inexpensive"?
We're talking about a $40k USD metal 3D printer from A3D with a print volume of 150 x 150 x 500mm that prints 100x (!!) faster than alternatives. It's cheaper, it's bigger, it's better - this is the very definition of disruptive from an industry point of view.
Given the historical and predicted annual growth rate of the 3D Printing industry, I really don't think the company to be over-valued. Consider ITRI's annual sales of their metal 3D printers:
Not far-fetched to draw parallels in our potential given we have a disruptive product.
