Just to clarify as I think some of the above posts are off track (correct me if I'm wrong)... these expanders do not replace silicone implants. They are only used for a matter of weeks.

A female (presumably lol) has their breast removed due to cancer etc or wants to upsize. The skin must be stretched before a silicone implant can be accommodated. These units are inserted and then inflated over 2-4 weeks. Then when fully inflated the skin will be stretched enough so that permanent silicone implants have sufficient room to be placed.

The current ordinary course of treatment is to stretch the skin via a series of injections into a saline(?) pouch over a period of months (much longer) - also there are needles involved each visit (ouch).
The Air Expanders can be inflated quicker and by the user at home. Quicker, no injections, far less professional visits - and the inflatable version can be contoured to whatever breast shape desired. The saline pouches cannot.
