EXCLUSIVE: PREMIER Ted Baillieu last night sacked a committee of MPs - which included his Deputy Premier and Attorney-General - from the management of the state's rich taxpayer-funded parliamentary pension scheme.
The move came after the Herald Sun contacted his office about a court bid approved by the committee that, if successful, would add thousands of dollars a year to their pensions.

TED Baillieu's dramatic move last night in sacking the committee that runs the Parliamentary Contributory Superannuation Fund shows how white hot the issue is for the Government - and a looming PR disaster.
For two years the MPs elected since 2006 - when the fund was closed to new members - have been arguing it is unfair that they can be left jobless while their colleagues get looked after for life by the taxpayer.
