    I was referring to religion as a psycosis if there is no reality to it. Clearly humans have indelibly stamped into their psyche an insatiable quest to understand. WHY is stamped into our foreheads at birth.
    That is almost a psycosis because it can drive people to their deaths, but at least it is a quest to know something that is real.

    Religion seems to run a parallel thread and is tangled up in insoluable mystery as to whether life has a purpose and meaning. It does not unless it was put there.

    If religion is not somehow connected to some great truth then we are utterly meaningless because the sum of each individual is zero.
