Whilst I would be ecstatic to see NTC win a milllion+ smart meter contract I just don't see it happening. As you are aware, the SP Ausnet contract was the biggest of its kind in the world. Rather than congratulating NTC on this achievement I prefer to focus on why a ~100,000 unit contract was the biggest win thus far. If you do some research on smart meters, there are papers and countries opposing smart meters based on a cost/benefit analysis. As for GridNet, they have gone silent in the past 2 years, not a peep and not a single update on their website.

With all that said, go NTC!
